Trapster is a program on your phone, I don't see how they could tell it's on there, and theoretically it is NOT a radar detector, it is a GPS map, so it isn't illegal I'd say.

I was not aware that radar detectors are illegal there. In BC they are 100% legal, however if you have one forget about talking your way out of any ticket pretty much...
